For the last fifteen years I’ve gotten red in the face
I could scream bloody murder every time I get it
I can’t believe that our congress can’t pass a law
to throw these people in jail if they don’t quit it
I have tried many times to call someone about it
but it seems to be useless and to no avail
I’m talking bout how every day I get bombarded
with a never-ending supply of junk mail
These past few years there’s been one consolation
at least we will no longer have to kill a tree
because now with just a push of one tiny button
they can send their junk to a million people like me
So now I get texts and calls on my cell phone
People wanting to be my Facebook friend
So many fake e-mails, click baits and phishing
I guess there will never be and end
If I don’t act right now I will lose my chance
to get my auto warranty renewed today
My Social Security has been compromised
Give us your bank account and get this grant right away
Hey man I’ve just won the lottery
They’ll deposit into my account right quick
I’ve been asked to donate to some fake charity
So many times it’s enough to make me sick
Foreclosure scams, Identity theft,
Let me do your taxes for you
I’ve grown bald from pulling my hair out
I just don’t know what a person is to do
But I guess what amazes me the most
Is no matter how many times we are warned about it
There are people in the world so gullible
That they will still fall for all their shit
When I saw the title of your post come across my email, I almost deleted it as spam!

Now that would be ironic. To get spammed by a spam about spam.

Now that you put it that way, I’d bet you a dollar to a doughnut that such a spam has actually been sent.

Sigh … it’s relentless these days. They’re calling me about my student loan. No, they aren’t. I don’t have one anymore. They want to sell me solar. Too late, I already have it. My loan is a part of a settlement. No, it isn’t. It’s been years, practically decades, since we had a loan with that lender. And yes, the auto warranty folks. And the recorded voice that wants me to donate to some “law enforcement” charity. Just on and on and on and on.

My new favorite. “This is your local electric utility company …” To which I want to scream, “No you aren’t! If you were, you would have said the company name!!”

That’s a new one for me but it’s like the warranty people. Calling people who don’t own a car.

My wife got a call from our credit card company. She asked “which credit card?” Oddly, the guy didn’t have an answer.

Phone calls and snail mail several times a month about my soon-to-expire auto warranty. I never had one in the first place. And I sold my car in 1998 and have not had a car since then. I never answer my phone any more either until I see who is calling. Nine times out of 10 it’s a scammer.

Same here. Unless I, or at least my phone, recognizes the number I never answer. Now there are certain area codes outside the U.S. that if you answer the call they charge you ungodly rates. so I’m told, but that might be spam.
