It was a few days ago
when I had written some words
about how Ozark winter
was really quite absurd
It seems Little Miss Ozark
didn’t like what I had to say
and she decided to throw
a surprise present my way
Now I’m standing in my drive
shoveling two feet of snow
bundled against a wind chill
of more than twenty below
Well I have learned my lesson
I will remember next year
don’t talk bad about winter
until the summer is here

I remember when we first moved to Joplin from Iowa, Lisa said “I’ll never see snow again,”
Within less than a week after moving, we got 12 inches of snow. I told her to keep her mouth shut from now on.
