Hatred

Yesterday, I was fully prepared to openly admit that the Orange Man finally said something that made sense when he stated that the Justice Department would investigate and prosecute any persons found guilty in the tragic death and injuries that occurred in Charlottesville.

But, just as I was about to hit the post button, his childlike nature stepped forward once again and erased the final glimmer of hope I had for his redemption. This man’s ego just will not let him keep his mouth closed and unfortunately for the world, every time it opens, more of his ignorance pours forth.

America, I beg of you, can’t you now see the pure stupidity and moronic values that we have deemed fit to call the leader of our country. It should make no difference if you are Republican, Democrat, Independent or ‘I just close my eyes and make a mark’, the truth should now be apparent. There is no shame in admitting it. We made a mistake and now the fate of the world hinges on the ability of an unreliable congress to keep the insane Orange Man from doing the unthinkable just because someone told him he couldn’t have another cookie.

Hatred

You skulked down the hidden backstreets of rationality, peering through the keyholes of human decency and crawled in through the sewers of thought to whisper your name to the unsuspecting innocence, filling them with the fear of discontented oppression.

“We are America, Fuck You!” was your battle cry and the naive jump aboard your pretentious parade. Fake news… fake hair… FAKE TRUTH! Maybe we should have ‘read YOUR lips’.

Wall them out… or wall us in…that is the question.

Oh yes, my dear friend William… we are truly suffering the slings and arrows of outrageous buffoonery. Do we now take up arms and light the battle fires of resistance.

Or do we sleep… perchance to dream.

We must be careful what we dream for.

Fire and Fury

Will we see fire

Death and pain

Fall from the fingertips

Of the insane

Will we get tweets

Of our own destruction

From a man whose mind

Is on permanent malfunction

If you’re searching for truth

You’d better not ask

The man hiding behind

His bright orange mask

What we do this day

Can never be undone

The ropes we let bind us

Can never be unstrung

And yet we will still

Praise his name

Don’t worry about it

There’s always someone else to blame

Hey Dumb Ass

Damn…

All of a sudden I’m old. I swear that when I went to bed last night I was young. I could run and jump, play ball with the kids, eat ice cream, drink beer, stay out all night and still make it to work the next morning with a smile on my face. But when I woke up this morning, it was a struggle to find my glasses before I could see good enough to even find my way to the bathroom to retrieve my teeth from the glass on the sink.

My mind tells me that I can still do all those things that I always just took for granted. But, I guess all my sweet moves on the field of play might have soured a bit. I probably should have known something was going on when they started asking me be the scorekeeper instead of a player. But, in my stubborn refusal to age, I did not pay attention ‘to everyone who ever knew me’ and attempted to join in on their reindeer games anyway. It only took a few minutes before my body parts looked at me in shame and decided to rebel.

Hey stupid ass…you want to quit that now. Cease and desist immediately or we’ll make you pay. And no amount of ibuprofen is going to fix it either.

But I did learn a valuable lesson. Whoever it was that said ‘No pain, no gain’ was younger than 30.

Revenge of the Nerds

Oh orange man, don’t you understand that someday the ‘Nerd’ countries of the world will band together to put an end to your bullying. Do you even care that we turn our heads in shame every time you open your mouth to speak.

How many more languages must we learn to say, “Please forgive us, we were not paying attention while a child ran away with the gavel.”

There’s always something going on but nothing ever really happening

When you hear me talk of revolution

And the changes that must take place

I mean, we need to find the solution

To put humanity back into the human race

We’re so quick to point our finger

When we see what’s happening in our land

We will let our anger boil and linger

While too afraid to extend our hand

We’ve let prejudice and violence

Through complacency become the norm’

But if we continue to stand alone in silence

Then we will surely perish in the storm
